Ottawa Race Weekend
Last weekend was race weekend in Ottawa. It’s grown to be Canada’s largest race, this year climbing to well over 39,000 participants in various events from a 2KM family fun run to the full marathon. This race has such a great vibe to it. Admittedly, I have a soft spot for it as I did do my first marathon on this course a couple of years ago. This year, I was disappointed not to participate as a runner (nursing an injury
). That didn’t stop me though, from getting out and cheering on family & friends. We were represented in each event! My further consolation was making use of my registration and bib to get to the start of the half. I lined up with my sister-in-law, elbowing into the corral, to run the first 1KM WITH my DSLR. It was a good opportunity to get a unique perspective for shooting within, rather than on the sideline of the race. Until next year!
